While I made note of several books I wanted pick up, I did actually pick up a music book for my sister. She had been searching for a while for a music book that had popular Broadway musical pieces for her theater class. There was definitely a wide array of these books, not to mention everything else.
I have a grown up with the New England Book Fair and saddened to hear that it is downsizing. At least it is not disappearing. Memorable annual visits with my late Nana give me great flashbacks. The place is emptying out so check out the old space before they leave.

I miss the old store. End of an era. I would buy $200 worth of books every visit and my 4 kids loved spending hours here. Not anymore. No energy, poor selection, high prices, no more used books, sterile, poor to no seating, and staff looked bored. I guess the pressure from online shopping is just too much.
You could spend a lifetime in this place and never read the title of every book here. During a recent visit up to see the fiance's family, we stole away for a day to explore the New England Mobile Book Fair. We literally spent 4 hours here and barely scratched the surface of books that there was there to see.
This place alone is a good enough reason for me to want to go back to MA.
Unusual bookstore. Big warehouse makes it difficult to find your way around. But good prices make it worth while.
